I just got back from rainy Milan and had a FANTASTIC time exhibiting, camping, drinking, eating and meeting friendly designers from across the globe.
Designersblock, the kings of curation kindly allowed me to exhibit with them, in most deffinately the coolest exhibition venue EVER…..a derelict public swimming pool! It was massive…
“Piscina Argelati”

I was one of thirty odd designers from a diverse range of disciplines mainly product design. I exhibited a three-dimensional piece called “The Enigma Triangle”. It is a representation of my styling and illustration, taking reference from symbols of the Aztec calender and metamorphosing it into my own enigmatic style….
MY 2D ILLUSTRATIONS…

…explode and disperse into shattered vibrant enigmatic triangles…

FICTITOUS FACES:
I also created a series of masks, pasting illustrated and collaged faces onto a mould of my own face…

Just some of my gold possessions…
If you enjoy digging for gold like I do, you gotta check out these gold mines I have found…
My collecting began in the big juicy apple where gold is purer than that of the Egyptian Gods. One nippy eve on Broadway last autumn, I haggled long and hard for my prized golden possession: My bling boombox pendant and chain (top left in the gold frame.)
Gold sparkling eyelashes are ghetto-fabuloso! I got these bad boys from Chinatown, London. If you pull the ‘Oh but I’m a student’ line then you get good discount! They go nicely with a pair of dangling diamante star earrings from the sassiest of designers, Patricia Field.

“Fire Serpent Goddess” My Styling (Yes the snake is real!)
Golden Casio watches are the best. According to the geezer at the Texaco garage round the corner, who serves me drunken snacks at 4am and has the same watch; you can get them from Argos for a bargain…(I thought mine was old school n vintage!?) Nah.
I’m keen on the old Aztec era and their fascination with gold. Did you now that the Aztecs called gold the excrement of the Gods! Anyway, I created this ‘Urban Aztec’ look by combining a glitzy Aztec style jumper from a charity shop, with shoulder pads still in (gotta keep that authoritative vibe rollin’) sparkling gold leggings, my gold NY flat cap, lashes n boombox baby…

My ‘Urban Aztec’ Styling. Model: The Vinemister
Other mines to explore: Shepherds Bush Market, Gran’s closet, Forerro Rocher boxes, Hells Kitchen flea market (NY), Agora (gambling arcades) and Argos.
Happy treasure hunting!
