Introduction to Curating Contemporary Art Exhibitions
Do you have an idea for an exhibition? Whether your interest is in contemporary arts, photography or a particular craft, this five-day course will give you valuable practical insights into curation in either a conventional gallery or alternative space.
You may be working in the creative industries or simply be someone who has studied or practised art. Either way, you will be helped to develop exhibition themes and content and shown how to contact potential contributors. Susan Hill also covers the whole business of writing a proposal, applying for funding and dealing with the PR and promotional work that goes into a successful show. The course includes a visit to a contemporary art gallery in London.

No experience needed.
Tutor
Emily Druiff has an MA in Curating and is currently working in the field of participatory public art and new media. Recent projects include Street Training – City of Respect in Linz, Austria; SCAN.fm as part of NODE.L and Talking Point at the Prague Biennale.
